Gwyn has visited in the past (last season most recently), so he's not new to what Virginia Tech has to offer. However, the Hokies were a little later in offering, allowing the likes of Duke, NC State, South Carolina, and Wake Forest to build a lead and form his top group. The Hokies have a chance to get right back in this one quickly thanks to proximity of - and priority in recruiting - the Charlotte area. VT is an offer he's wanted for a while, so he should be able to prioritize a return to Blacksburg, which gives Justin Fuente and Co. a chance to be right in the thick of this one in time for Gwyn's summer decision (late June or early July).
