New Virginia Tech football offer: John Olmstead

Virginia Tech has offered Metuchen (N.J.) St. Joseph's 2019 offensive lineman John Olmstead. Here's a quick look at him.

Duke, Maryland, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio State, Penn State, UCLA

Olmstead has a Penn State offer and grew up a Penn State fan, so that could be the kiss of death for the Hokies in luring a player away from one of the Nittany Lions' prime recruiting grounds in New Jersey. He is still open, and plans to expand his travels a bit this Summer with the likes of Northwestern and Notre Dame on the list. VT needs to work hard to get him to travel down the East Coast, since at this point he seems more likely to head to the Midwest. However, there's still plenty of time in this recruitment, and the Hokies have the opportunity to carve out a place in it.
