New Virginia Tech football offer: Joe Kane

Virginia Tech has offered Wake Forest (N.C.) Heritage 2018 defensive lineman Joe Kane. Here's a quick look at the player.

Syracuse, Wake Forest, Appalachian State, Cornell, Georgia Southern

Kane has a small group of Power-5 offers, couple mid-majors, and some lower-division programs on his list thus far. That means Virginia Tech is int he door relatively early here. He also picked up his offer from the Hokies while on a campus visit over the weekend, so the interest on his end was high enough to take the trip even before he held the offer. Virginia Tech will be in outstanding position here, and Kane's physical makeup - a high school defensive end who could grow into a three-technique tackle at the next level - is a good fit and another selling point for VT.
