New Virginia Tech football offer: Jason Gold

Virginia Tech has offered League City (Texas) Clear Springs 2019 defensive end Jason Gold. Here's a quick look at him.

Houston, Kansas State, TCU, UTSA

Gold has been adamant early in the process that he intends to take his time with it, and that should allow the Hokies to earn some serious consideration - and potentially even a visit before Spring is out. However, the distance from campus (there are no Texans on the Hokies' roster right now, for example) may be a bit of a limiting factor, even if some of the coaching staff originally hails from the Midlands. Gold has better bonds in Big 12 Country, and Virginia Tech will have to chip away at that to land him.
