New Virginia Tech football offer: Jalon Jones

Virginia Tech has offered Baltimore St. Frances 2019 quarterback Jalon Jones. Here's a quick look at the player.

Although he's bound for Baltimore St. Frances (itself a school that the Hokies really want to recruit well) in his final two years of high school ball, Jones is a Richmond native who previously suited up for Henrico High School. That hometown proximity should help both in-state schools in the long run, though how much remains to be seen. Jones visited Blacksburg in early April, so the interest has been mutual for some time, and while he's nowhere close to a decision, VT will remain in the hunt for the long haul.
