Virginia Tech is hardly alone in putting in plenty of effort at Trinity Christian (Ohio State reeled in five-star Tyreke Johnson just yesterday, for example), but it's worth noting that they do indeed focus on the school. Former all-time leading receiver Isaiah Ford came to Blacksburg from the North Florida powerhouse, and Class of 2018 commit Chamarri Conner is about to repeat that feat. Davis is early in the process and plans to consider all schools, but has stated a preference for staying in-state. VT needs to get him on campus early to begin building serious bonds. The offer at this stage is a good start.
