The latest

Groves visited Blacksburg yesterday and emerged with an offer. The Hokies become the first in Power-5 to take the plunge (though he has a handful of FCS and mid-major programs on board so far). The fact that he visited and that Virginia Tech can work Tennessee connections through his lead recruiter, Chris Marve - who has done a good job in Middle Tennessee - should put the Orange and Maroon in strong position as long as they want to be unless and until other Power-5 programs up their pursuit.
