New Virginia Tech football offer: Briton Allen

Virginia Tech has offered Orlando (Fla.) Lake Highland 2019 defensive back Briton Allen. Here's a quick look at him.

Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolin, Syracuse

Allen seems to want to stay in-state, and the SEC (especially South Carolina, the only school that has both offered a scholarship to and received a visit from him) looks like the target. However, Virginia Tech is the most successful of the programs on the table thus far, and the Hokies' emphasis on the Orlando area provides some connections. Getting him on a visit before next season should help VT maintain a foothold in his recruitment, though they'll probably need that trip in order to be realistically in the mix.
