Virginia Tech has offered Mineral (Va.) Louisa County 2019 defensive end Brandon Smith. Here's a quick look at the player.

Virginia Tech is in the door early, and Smith picked up his offer while he was in town for the Hokies' latest junior day over the weekend. Although he doesn't live too far from Charlottesville, the difference in prestige between the in-state programs should be a nice boost for the Hokies in the early going. That Smith made the trip prior to picking up the offer is a positive sign, as well. Look for VT to be a - if not the - major contender throughout.
