Cotton picked up his offer from the Hokies after impressing at a tournament in New Jersey over the weekend. Miami followed the next day, so the ACC interest is beginning to arrive to augment the mid-major and/or far-from-home schools already in the mix. VT's may have a couple advantages: they were one of the first East Coast power-conference programs (Rutgers in no way counts for this category, naturally, even though they're in his home state) to get in the mix, and Cotton is very interested in architectural engineering, a boost for a school that is consistently among the top-35 in engineering disciplines. He has yet to visit campus, but should be able to head down to Blacksburg at his earliest convenience.
