New Virginia Tech basketball offer: Jaemyn Brakefield

Virginia Tech has offered Huntington (W.Va.) Prep 2020 power forward Jaemyn Brakefield. Here's a quick look at him.

Brakefield is a Mississippi native, so an offer from his home-state school is meaningful early. However, he's been well traveled early in the process and is obviously comfortable enough away from home to attend a prep school out of state. The proximity to Virginia Tech has been improved by attended Huntington Prep, and that should facilitate a visit this Fall. However, it's still extremely early in Brakefield's process, and he should be a big-timer nationally. There's plenty of time for this recruitment to play out.
