New Virginia Tech basketball offer: Jaden Springer

Virginia Tech has offered Charlotte (N.C.) Rocky River 2020 guard Jaden Springer. Here's a quick look at him.

Auburn, Georgia Tech, Kansas State, Old Dominion, Wake Forest

Springer has impressed on the AAU circuit this Summer, and Virginia Tech enters the mix just before his recruitment is expected to go into the stratosphere. That's good timing, and the Hokies also have advantages based on geography. VT has recruited North Carolina heavily on the hardcourt and gridiron in recent classes, which helps build connections. It's very early in Springer's recruitment, but Buzz Williams's crew should be in the hunt until the end. Look for multiple visits to campus this Fall.
