Virginia Tech has offered Chicago Corliss 2018 power forward George Conditt. Here's a quick look at him.

Illinois has built a pretty significant bond with the in-state player, and that could be tough to overcome in the end. However, the Illini have had a couple years of struggle, and other geography, his connection to them perhaps isn't that important. VT can sell the versatile bigman on a starring role in Buzz Williams's offense, and getting him on campus will be the next big step in the process, since he hasn't planned something yet.
