VT is not exactly early in the door here, but is one of the biggest programs (along with fellow ACC squad Pitt and perennial tournament team Wichita State) to enter the mix. There's also a bit of proximity at play: he's a North Carolina kid who plays his high school ball in Southwest Virginia just a couple hours away from Blacksburg. The Hokies are in need of bigmen in the 2018 class (they'll sign at least a couple if they can), and that can also be a boost. Look for him to visit soon, and VT can make up ground on the long-term members of his list in short order.
