New Virginia Tech basketball offer: Darius Bazley

Virginia Tech has offered Cincinnati (Ohio) Princeton 2018 forward Darius Bazley. Here's a quick look at him.

Florida, Maryland, Ohio State, Purdue, Xavier

A onetime Ohio State commit, Bazley re-entered the market earlier this Spring (and given the trajectory of the Buckeyes' program, it doesn't seem like he'll bother making them an option the second time around). He's picking up steam with new offers since, and the Hokies are evidence of that. VT has a little bit of - indirect - success recruiting Ohio with Justin Bibbs a native of the Southwest portion of the state who finished his high school career in Florida, so some connections can be built there. More than that, VT can sell the needs for playing time to bigmen in the 2018-19 season and beyond (though he may not be physically ready to play immediately). Look for Bazley to visit this Summer.
