New Virginia Tech basketball offer: Chase Johnson

Virginia Tech has offered Ripley (W.V.) 2017 forward Chase Johnson. Here's a quick look at the player.

Arizona, Florida, Marquette, West Virginia

Johnson has been on a tear during the AAU season, and will likely make his move into the national rankings following the summer. The West Virginia native grew up rooting for the Mountaineers, but Blacksburg isn't much longer a haul than Morgantown from Johnson's area of the state. The coaching staff will need to get him on campus, but there's a definite window of opportunity.
