New Virginia Tech basketball offer: Ashton Hagans

Virginia Tech has offered Covington (Ga.) Newton 2019 guard Ashton Hagans. Here's a quick look at him.

Auburn, Georgia, Kansas, North Carolina, St. John's, Wake Forest

Hagans will transfer to Oak Hill Academy for his final two years of high school ball, so that certainly improves VT's proximity in terms of providing a bit of comfort and familiarity. The Hokies have also put a lot of effort in at Oak Hill, and though no program is every going to get every kid they want out of the basketball powerhouse, sooner or later VT will land a big one. He'll have the opportunity to visit this Fall, and that's when the Hokies will really begin the recruiting process in earnest.
