It's fair to say Virginia Tech is hot on the recruiting trail: a third commitment in three days came down last night.

Everett (Mass.) athlete Mike Sainristil is now a member of the Hokies' 2019 class. The 5-9, 175-pounder is a three-star ranked the No. 2 player in the state of Massachusetts (Behind four-star teammate Lewis Cine.

Sainristil is listed as a wide receiver, and could play in the slot, but also has ability to flip to the other side of the ball and be a defensive back. Given the staff's preference for lengthier players in that role, offense seems more likely.

VT was one of the first programs to offer Sainristil, and Hokies defensive backs coach Galen Scott was a consistent presence in Everett High School during the contact period leading up to Signing Day for the 2018 class. With fellow opportunities from Boston College, Michigan, North Carolina, Syracuse, and Wisconsin, he'd seen enough and opted to join the Maroon and Orange.

Sainristil is the fourth commitment in the class, joining fellow WR/athletes Elijah Bowick and Jahad Carter and offensive lineman Jesse Hanson.
