Local tight end enjoys first trip to VT as a recruit
Living in Big Stone Gap, Va., just a couple hours away from Blacksburg, Union High School junior tight end James Mitchell has had a chance to take in a Virginia Tech football game in the past. However, when he headed to campus Saturday, it was his first time doing so as a recruit of the Hokies. The experience went great for the young standout.
"That was my first game as a recruit," he said. "I had been there one time before when I was younger. It was a great experience, that atmosphere was great. They have an outstanding fanbase."
