In early July, Blacksburg (Va.) High three-star running back Cole Beck named his top five. Virginia Tech was not in it. That isn't because the 6-0, 174-pounder dislikes the Hokies - by any stretch of the imagination - but rather because they had yet to offer him. That changed Aug. 6, when the program just 4.1 miles away from his high school entered the mix.
