Landers Nolley is a Hokie

At long last, commit No. 2 in the Virginia Tech basketball Class of 2018 is in: Fairburn (Ga.) Hughes wing Landers Nolley has committed. Nolley joins Jarren McAllister as the lone VT commits in the class to date.

The 6-7, 205-pound Nolley had a very odd endgame to his recruitment: he took official visits to Virginia Tech, Georgia State, and Georgia in the final week before making his commitment, then pledged to the Bulldogs last Saturday evening. By the following afternoon, though, he was back on the market. Nolley waited just a week after decommitting from Georgia to pick Virginia Tech - the school that many expected to be his choice the first time around.

He is the No. 55 player in the nation for the Class of 2018, more than a nice consolation prize after the Hokies missed out on No. 37 David Duke Friday evening (the point guard committed to hometown Providence). The Hokies are likely to continue pursuing a point guard and bigman to wrap up the class.
