Kwantel Raines includes VT in top schools

Aliquippa (Pa.) 2018 safety Kwantel Rained has his list of ten favorites, and Virginia Tech has made the cut. The Hokies will stay in the hunt for the four-star.

Cal, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Maryland, Penn State, Pitt, South Carolina, and West Virginia are also still in the hunt for the nation's No. 11 safety and No. 219 overall prospect. NC State, TCU, and Wisconsin are among the programs that have offered, but are no longer in the hunt.

The 6-2, 200-pounder has not announced plans for further narrowing his list. He visited Virginia Tech last Summer after the Hokies offered, but has not been back on campus since. With three defensive backs already in the fold (and another potentially joining next week), the Hokies don't have a dire need at his position, though they'd love to add a player of his caliber.
