WOODBRIDGE, Va. -- Not that he needed it, but Forest Park (Va.) three-star wide receiver Eric Kumah got one more look at the school he would select with his commitment last week.
In an announcement at his school Friday afternoon, Kumah gave his commitment to Virginia Tech. He visited Blacksburg last weekend for one of the Hokies' camps and chose them out of a top five that also consisted of NC State, Miami, Kentucky and Maryland.
Kumah, ranked No. 22 in Virginia, had 18 total offers. Virginia Tech and defensive coordinator Bud Foster were a bit late to offer, extending one last fall, but was already in good standing.
"I've been here numerous times," Kumah said after the Hokies' camp last weekend. "I really liked coming out here, being able to see the new facilities and everything. That was really good. I'd never seen that before, just the process of it being built. I had fun spending some time with coaches while camp was going on. I love this area, the people here, just everything about it. There's nothing I don't like about Virginia Tech."
Kumah is commitment No. 10 for Virginia Tech in the 2016 class and the second wide receiver. He joins Hanahan (SC) three-star receiver Samuel Denmark.
