Kofi Wardlow includes Hokies in trimmed list

Virginia Tech's 2017 recruiting class is slowly approaching its conclusion, with just a handful of major targets still remaining. One who will continue to consider the Hokies is Washington (D.C.) St. John's three-star defensive end Kofi Wardlow.

The 6-3, 230-pounder trimmed his list to seven schools last evening, and VT remains in the hunt:

Boston College, Maryland, Michigan State, Missouri, Pittsburgh, and Rutgers join VT on the narrowed list. The majority of the programs eliminated from the running are non-Power Five schools.

Wardlow plans to take an official visit to Virginia Tech - he also has trips to Maryland and Michigan State planned - before making his final decision.
