Jordan McFadden is a Hokie

Slowly but surely, Virginia Tech is building on the offensive line. Roebuck (S.C.) Dorman three-star Jordan McFadden is the latest commit.

The 6-4, 280-pounder is a three-star ranked the No. 28 rising senior in South Carolina. Because of the decommitment of wide receiver Bryce Thompson several weeks ago, he is the second player in the class from the Palmetto State, joining defensive lineman Eli Adams. He is also the second offensive lineman in the group, joining Georgia three-star John Harris. Both are likely interior players at the next level, leaving VT on the hunt for tackles.

McFadden is the 17th overall commitment in the class, and with his pledge, the Hokies take a huge leap up to the No. 10 class in the nation. However, only a few teams in the national top 20 (No. 1 Miami, No. 3 LSU, No. 13 Oklahoma State, and No. 17 Minnesota) have more pledge than Virginia Tech does at this point.

Dorman finished 8-5 during McFadden's junior year, averaging 195.6 yards per game on the ground despite running a pass-heavy scheme. McFadden was credited with 21 pancake blocks on the year.
