This weekend, Virginia Tech held its first junior day of the year and the earliest its ever held a junior day. The Hokies welcomed nearly 50 recruits in the 2015 and 2016 classes and by the end of the day, they had a big takeaway.
Just before leaving campus, H.D. Woodson (DC) three-star cornerback DuWayne Johnson decided he was ready to end his recruitment early. He committed to Virginia Tech.

Johnson joins Friendship Collegiate Academy (DC) three-star cornerback Ashton White as a fellow secondary commitment for the Hokies, along with four-star Woodland (SC) defensive end Michael Barnett. Both White and Johnson were recruited by assistant coach Aaron Moorehead.
