Virginia Tech has its second four-star commitment of the day. Brooklyn (N.Y.) ASA College cornerback Jeremy Webb is in.
The 6-3, 195-pound Webb is a four-star and one of the top junior college prospects in the nation. He is the second player to join the fold from ASA, with tight end Corey Thomas electing to walk on.
Webb was a qualifier out of high school, but with no offers - he transferred high schools multiple times to stay close to his brother, Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ego Ferguson - he opted for a stint in junior college to garner attention.
That decision paid off, with VT beating out West Virginia (his other finalist) as well as opportunities to accept a scholarship from Florida, Mississippi, Nebraska, and Tennessee. Webb intends to enroll early, and with the departures of seniors Greg Stroman and Brandon Facyson from the secondary, stands a great chance to earn a major role.
With Webb's commitment, Virginia Tech's class rises to No. 12 nationally.
