The 2014 class has come to a close for Virginia Tech, with a player from a high school put on the map by an NBA star.
St. Vincent/St. Mary's (OH) three-star shooting guard
Hudson officially visited Arkansas Aug. 30, but was more impressed after leaving his official visit to Virginia Tech Sept. 20 and 21, despite the wind and rain at the Hokies' game against Marshall.
Officially committed to Virginia Tech!
Hudson, born in Ohio, moved to Richmond (Va.) a month after he was born and attended Benedictine School (Va.) for his first two years of high school. He transferred to St Vincent/St. Mary's just before his junior season. His new school has been made famous as the alum of Miami Heat star
"I want to be able to have a good relationship with the coach so that I can just go out there and play," Hudson told CavsCorner.com in August. "I want to also be able to play the one and the two. I don't want to be somewhere where I'm stuck being strictly one or the other. I can play both very well and I just want to show that talent. I have aspirations of playing at the next level and that's why I want to go somewhere that will develop me both as an individual player and as a part of a really good team.
"I'm also the type that I like winning and that's something that is very important to me. I want to go somewhere where the coach can really coach the team and get us deep into the NCAA Tournament and hopefully win a national championship."
