Hokies make the top ten for Nana Asiedu

Virginia Tech hopes to return to dominating in-state recruiting in the 2018 class and beyond, and although the commitments haven't been rolling in yet, they're in good shape with a number of the top rising seniors across Old Dominion.

The latest to include the Hokies on his narrowed list is Stafford (Va.) North Stafford offensive lineman Nana Asiedu.

The 6-6, 270-pound Asiedu is the No. 4 in-state player in the 2018 class. He joins No. 1 in-stat Teradja Mitchell in including VT on his top list. The Hokies are joined by Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, North Carolina, Penn State, and Tennessee on the list.

Adsiedu is the No. 14 offensive tackle and No. 155 overall prospect nationally, according to the current edition of the Rivals250. Maryland, Syracuse, Virginia, and West Virginia are among the programs he eliminated from contention at this early stage.

Senior kicker Joey Slye and linebacker Anthony Shegog are products of North Stafford High School, the only two on the Hokies' current roster.
