Hokies lose 2019 hoops commits

Virginia Tech's 2019 basketball recruiting class has long been a solid one, but no more. Decommitments have arrived.

High Point (N.C.) Wesleyan Christian point guard Kobe Langley and Oak Hill (Va.) Academy forward Brian Mack have both re-opened their recruitments:

The duo are close friends and AAU teammates (former high school teammates, as well), and are two of VT's three 2019 commits - along with Langley's twin brother Keyshaun, who has not made a statement regarding his commitment but may not be far off from following suit.

The 6-6, 265-pound Mack is the only member of the trio with a ranking on Rivals.com, a three-star who is not within the top players at his position. This early in the class, it's not only possible, but in fact likely that the Hokies will be able to recover from the decommitments.

Five-star bigman Armando Bacot is among the top VT targets in the 2019 class.
