Just three days before national signing day, Virginia Tech has added another to its 2016 class haul.

On Sunday morning, Venice (Fla.) two-star defensive tackle Jarrod Hewitt announced via Twitter that he had committed to the Hokies. Hewitt wrapped up an official visit in Blacksburg this morning as well.

Hewitt, a one-time Rutgers commitment, decommitted from the Scarlet Knights in September. He chose Virginia Tech over Iowa State, where he took an official visit Jan. 15.

This weekend wasn't the first time in Blacksburg for Hewitt. He made an unofficial visit Oct. 9 to see the Hokies defeat NC State.

Hewitt was recruited by assistant coach Charley Wiles and makes commitment No. 19 in the class. He joins Woodgrove (Va.) defensive tackle Clay Dean as the only current interior defensive linemen in Virginia Tech's class.
