Hall will make signing day decision

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound defensive end has already taken trips to Virginia Tech and Ohio State. “I had a blast on both visits,” he explained. “It’s really hard to compare them.”

“I love the people down at (Virginia) Tech,” Hall added. “And at Ohio State, I was surprised at how big it is. If you get bored, there is probably more stuff to do at Ohio State but I think they are both real good schools and I couldn’t really put one over the other.”

During our interview with Hall, Virginia Tech head coach Frank Beamer called through on the other line. “He just told me how much they like me and how much they want me on the team,” he stated. “All the coaches say pretty much the same thing. I love them all. It’s going to be real hard to make a decision.”

Hall will visit Purdue this weekend, NC State on the 23rd and Virginia on the 30th before making a decision on signing day.

“I’m really excited to see what Purdue has to offer this weekend,” he expressed. “They are losing a couple guys at defensive end and outside linebacker so that’s a plus. I’m looking forward to seeing the campus and looking into the academics.”

Ranked by Rivals.com as the sixth best weakside defensive end prospect, Hall was named first-team all-state as a senior after he recorded 103 tackles and 11 sacks.

He realizes that he still needs to improve before playing at the next level. “I’d like to work on my speed and definitely my strength,” Hall said. “I go to some of these schools and there are guys on the team with arms that are bigger than my legs. So I definitely need to get bigger. I also want to work on my metal approach to the game.”
