A day after getting one member of its 2016 class back, Virginia Tech has lost another.
Courtland (Va.) two-star linebacker Victor Greene informed HokieHaven.com this afternoon via text message that he has decommitted from the Hokies. Greene recently added an offer from Coastal Carolina.
A running back and linebacker at Courtland, Greene rushed for over 1,500 yards this season. Virginia Tech was his first offer, in June of 2014 following his performance at one of the Hokies' recruiting camps. He committed in March.
Greene isn't sure if he'll still consider Virginia Tech or not. He said he hadn't heard from his primary recruiter, defensive coordinator Bud Foster, new coach Justin Fuente or any member of the Hokies' staff since Fuente joined on Nov. 29.
"That's a difficult question to answer right now," Greene said of his stance with Virginia Tech.
The Hokies currently have two other linebackers committed for the 2016 class, in Indian River (Va.) three-star Tavante Beckett and Collins Hill (Ga.) two-star Emmanuel Belmar.
