Green scored 28 points in Saturday's 81-71 over Oklahoma State, then-ranked No. 15 by the Associated Press. He also made 12 of 13 free throws for the game.
Green's effort came after two early fouls caused him to play just nine minutes in the second half.
"It was kinda frustrating and I thought the second foul wasn't a foul," Green said after the game. "They kinda just flopped, but it happens, he called it and I'm just proud of these guys that stepped up and carried the load for me when I was on the bench. In the second half, I just came out and did what I did best."
In Virginia Tech's 95-79 win over Iowa Tuesday in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, Green had 24 points, five assists and five rebounds. He was named a co-player of the week last week for the ACC as well.
Virginia Tech is 7-0 on the season for the first time since 1982 and travel to West Virginia Saturday for a 4 p.m. tip-off.
