Winston-Salem (N.C.) Parkland cornerback Antonio Wardlow has seen a rough start to the 2004 season as Parkland has stumbled out of the gate at 0-2. Dropping games to West Forsyth in the opener and Derek Nicholson’s Mount Tabor squad last weekend, Wardlow and his teammates are looking to break into the win column as they take on East Forsyth this Friday.

“I think we’ve been playing okay so far, we’ve been up against some good competition,” explained Wardlow. “My performance has been alright. I don’t have any interceptions yet or anything like that, but I feel I’ve played well.”

Wardlow had been contemplating making an early decision, but things may be changing for the 6-foot-1, 185-pound all-conference prospect.

“I’m not sure when I’m looking to decide now,” Wardlow stated. “I want to take all of my official visits first. So far I know I’m going to South Carolina, Clemson, and Tennessee for sure. The other two visits are still up in the air.”

Wardlow previously named a top four of South Carolina, North Carolina State, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech, but his list appears to be evolving back to being wide open.

“I really don’t have any favorites any more,” explained Wardlow. “I’m looking at those four schools as well as Clemson, North Carolina, and Wake Forest.”

Wardlow went on to add that while most of the schools are recruiting pretty evenly right now, South Carolina has been sending him the most stuff as of late.
