Virginia Tech has its second commitment in the Class of 2019. Elijah Bowick has decided to become a Hokie.

The 6-1, 190-pounder from Charlotte (N.C.) Myers Park made the decision this afternoon while at the Hokie's junior day.

He is the second commitment in the class, joining in-state receiver Jahad Carter. A 6-1, 190-pound three-star ranked the No. 19 player in North Carolina and No. 55 wide receiver nationally, he brings the class one step closer toward the finish line - albeit a finish line that's more than a year away.

Bowick caught 58 passes for 1,006 yards (17.3 per grab) with 10 touchdowns as a junior. His Myers Park team finished 12-2 with a loss to Charlotte Hough in the North Carolina 4AA State quarterfinals. The team also includes offered 2020 wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad III.
