Edward Hendrix narrows list, includes VT

Washington (D.C.) Woodson 2018 wide receiver Edward Hendrix has a number of college options on the table, and Virginia Tech made the cut as he narrowed to ten this weekend.

The 6-4, 195-pound Hendrix also includes Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, North Carolina, Pitt, Syracuse, Temple, West Virginia, and Wisconsin on the narrowed list. Arkansas, Illinois, Michigan State, and NC State are among the schools that have been eliminated from the running.

The Hokies were among the earliest to offer the No. 70 wide receiver nationally and No. 8 rising senior in the District of Columbia. VT landed a player from Washington yesterday, when three-star defensive tackle Cam Goode of St. John's Collegiate gave his word to don Maroon and Orange in college. Virginia Tech also lost a wide receiver pledge yesterday when three-star South Carolinian Bryce Thompson decommitted, which could open the door for a greater need for pass-catchers.
