Ameer Speed down to eight
One of Virginia Tech's top targets from the Sunshine State is Jacksonville Sandalwood defensive back Ameer Speed, and the positive feelings are mutual for the three-star prospect.
Today, he named a top eight schools, with the Hokies left standing.

Auburn, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, North Carolina, and South Carolina are the other schools still remaining on the list for the 6-3, 196-pounder. He eliminated such programs as Duke, Florida State, Louisville, and Tennessee, among many others.
Speed most recently visited VT for the Hokies' Blacksburg BBQ along with teammates Quran Hafiz (an Iowa State commit who picked the Cyclones over VT in June) and Devinn Waters.
