The Hokies hit the Lane Stadium field for the first time this spring in an open setting for a scrimmage. And with it came some impressive plays.
Freshman running back Marshawn Williams laid a big-time hit on a Virginia Tech defender, wide receiver Joshua Stanford had three catches for 40 yards and running back Jerome Wright scored the only touchdown of the day on a 43-yard run.
