Fuller Prepared For Challenge

To be more focused for this season and certainly this weekend, sophomore cornerback Kendall Fuller decided he had to free himself a bit from contact: he shut down both his Twitter and Instagram accounts.
Especially in preparation for Saturday, Fuller has better things to do. This weekend, it's take on Ohio State and try to gain one of the biggest wins in Virginia Tech history. But Fuller needed to focus. Not that it was hard, but he and his teammates heard plenty about the Buckeyes all off-season.
Fuller isn't calling it relief, though he is ready for the challenge and for game week.
"Coach Foster and Coach Gray and Coach Beamer, they always stress about the next whatever game is next is the most important game," he said. "We always talk about what's important now. We knew we had that big game second against Ohio State, but we were always focused on William & Mary, knowing that we had to get by them first. Now, it's just looking forward to them and just getting prepared."
While Fuller is the Hokies' lone former five-star recruit, the Buckeyes have a number of players who were nationally touted coming out of high school. But Fuller is glad to have the opportunity to try to make a statement and get Virginia Tech back in plenty of national discussions.
"It's definitely gonna be fun, something we're all looking forward to," he said. "Just playing a team like that, who's been successful over the years with a great environment and great atmosphere and things like that. I know all of us are looking forward to it, ready to go out to practice and work hard."
