New Virginia Tech coach Buzz Williams inherited one top-rated player and last week, he added another. The combination of both has the Hokies well-represented in the final Rivals150 for the 2014 basketball recruiting class.

Today, Rivals.com revealed that four-star Aquinas (Ga.) guard Ahmed Hill saw a jump, from No. 69 to No. 63, while Montverde Academy (Fla.) three-star guard Justin Bibbs dropped slightly, from No. 142 to No. 143.

Hill is the third-highest ranked signee for Virginia Tech during the modern Rivals era (since 2002). Only Dorian Finney-Smith (No. 31 in 2011) and Marquie Cooke (No. 57 in 2004) are higher. Finney-Smith played one season with the Hokies before transferring to Florida, while Cook played one season before being dismissed for disciplinary reasons.

This also marks the fourth time in the Rivals era that Virginia Tech has signed two players in the Rivals150. Most recently, the 2011 class included Finney-Smith, four-star shooting guard Robert BrownC.J. Barksdale
Hill, originally a Marquette commit and signee, was released from his letter of intent last week, following Williams' departure there and arrival with the Hokies. After officially visiting Virginia Tech last weekend, he signed a scholarship agreement. Players cannot sign a letter of intent twice.

Bibbs, who was recruited by former coach James Johnson, committed to the Hokies in September and signed his letter of intent during the fall signing period. He, along with three-star St Vincent-St. Mary's (OH) guard Jalen Hudson, announced their intentions to honor their letters of intent with Johnson, over the weekend. Along with Hill, three-star Kiski School (Pa.) center Satchel Pierce, another former Marquette signee, also signed with the Hokies while on an official visit.
