The Texas Longhorns rank as the top recruiting class in the Big 12 and own the No. 8 class in the country. The big question, however, is whether or not five-star big man Cameron Ridley will stick with his commitment. Ridley did not sign a letter of intent during the early signing period. The Texas recruiting class also includes two four-star signees, Prince Ibeh and Javan Felix.

Baylor, whose recruiting class ranks second in the Big 12 and No. 13 nationally, has the most naturally gifted of all the Big 12 recruits - Isaiah Austin - coming to campus next year. He will be joined by four-star guard L.J. Rose and Rivals150 post player Chad Rykhoek.

Texas A&M and Oklahoma State are the other two Big 12 teams in the national rankings. Texas A&M (No. 20) has a pair of four-star guards in J-Mychal Reese and Alex Caruso.

Oklahoma State's class is led by five-star prospect Marcus Smart, who is known for his versatile, physical and clutch play.

Low post presence

The Big 12 class features a high number of talented big men. Isaiah Austin is the most talented of the bunch but still has a ways to go in terms of physical strength and toughness. Five-star forward Perry Ellis is college-ready and should immediately produce for Kansas.

Four-star big men Robert Upshaw and Prince Ibeh are both oozing with upside.

Similar to Ellis, Iowa State signee Georges Niang is physically advanced and is a polished low post scorer ready for the college game.

Three-star power forwards Chad Rykhoek, Zach Peters, Kamari Murphy and Jarion Henry are also coming into the conference.

Sharp Shooters

The other group of standouts of the Big 12 recruits is the perimeter shooters. Four-star guards J-Mychal Reese, Alex Caruso, Jelon Hornbeak, Javan Felix and Buddy Hield are all known for their ability to make shots from behind the arc. And the best pure shooter coming to the Big 12 - Phil Forte - will team with Marcus Smart at Oklahoma State.
