After two seasons at Arizona State, Kraidon Woods is expected to transfer, ASUDevils.com has learned.

The 6-foot-8, 200-pounder was used sparingly as a sophomore by Sun Devil coach Herb Sendek, playing a total of 23 minutes in nine games, with averages of 0.7 points and 0.1 rebounds.

Woods, a native of Henryville, Penn., initially signed with Villanova out of high school in 2005, but elected to attend a year of prep school at The Hill School in Pottstown, Penn., despite being a full qualifier.

When he signed with ASU in 2006, Woods was ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 141 overall prospect and No. 30 power forward in the nation.

But Woods was never able to break into the rotation at ASU, and he saw his minutes decrease as a sophomore.

Woods' anticipated transfer would open up a scholarship which could be awarded by the ASU staff as soon as the release of Woods if finalized, though Sendek is expected to hold it over for the 2010 class.

ASU has one 2010 commitment, Goodyear Estrella Foothills guard Corey Hawkins, and the program is expected to now add three additional recruits in the class.
