Recruited by: Kurt Kanaskie
When will you be at Virginia Tech?
Probably at the end of June.
What do you plan on working or improving on through this summer?
I think I'll work on my athletic abilities and just being ready to play in the ACC and taking on a big role.
How would you describe your playing style?
Right now, I'm trying to be a good point guard. But still, I'm a scorer. I can score from different positions, shoot the ball from the three-point line, shoot from mid-range, go to the basket. I can drive, make my players be involved in the game and just be an all-around player.
What are some of your goals for your freshman season at Virginia Tech?
I wanna try and kinda fill out Erick Green's spot, even though it's really hard to fill out the nation's leading scorer's spot. I wanna play from game one and be able to compete every night against the best guards in the country and to help my team out wherever I can.
What player or team are you most looking forward to going up against?
Teams I'm looking forward to playing against, basically, the four that are coming, like Louisville, Pittsburgh and Syracuse and North Carolina and Duke. A lot of big teams and I'm really looking forward to playing against those teams. Who I wanna play against, I don't know if he's gonna be in the NBA next year or not, but Quin Cook. I saw him play a lot and if he would play, that would be awesome.
What's your favorite food?
I like all kinds of fast food. But my really favorite food is pancakes.
What is your favorite movie?
What is your favorite TV show?
Right now, its "American Horror Stories."
What's the one song you're getting amped up to before a game?
Right now, ASAP Rocky. Every kind of hip hop music I'm in to, ASAP Rocky, Meek Mill and Chief Keef.
What would be three words to describe you?
Funny, passionate and always motivated.
What's been your most memorable experience playing football?
I played in one tournament in England that was actually my first national tournament. I played with the under-17 national team. I played pretty well and was chosen to be the MVP. The MVP trophy was in the name of a kid who played in the tournament 10 years before me. That kid passed away due to a heart attack on the court. After that trophy was given to me, the dad of the kid came up to me and he was crying and thanked me for making it a good tournament and playing good. That was one of the best memories I ever had. I met Michael Jordan himself at the Jordan Brand Classic game, but the first one was really big.
