Practice Insider: Carroll confident in Parsons

USCFootball.com There's definitely a luxury to having so many great players in one place, and for Pat Ruel, Pete Carroll and the USC offense, up front, there's luxury.
Monday night, the Trojans lost all-Pac-10 center Kristofer O'Dowd for the near future after he dislocated his right kneecap on the third play of the scrimmage.
The good thing is that USC has a pair of players more than capable ready to fill in.
Ruel said Tuesday that Alex Parsons will get the first crack at running with the first-string offensive line and Jeff Byers will be the team's back up until O'Dowd returns.
