Matthews: Little man, big buzz

WildcatReport.com It's somewhat ironic that Jeravin Matthews, one of Northwestern's smallest players, seemed to create the biggest buzz in Evanston this spring.
Offensive coordinator Mick McCall identified the wide receiver-turned-running back as a player to watch and said Northwestern would look for ways to get him the ball in 2009. Fellow wideout Andrew Brewer wrote about Matthews' "lightning" speed in his blog.
So it's understandable that many Wildcat fans had their eyes focused on No. 3 during Saturday's spring game. And the sophomore from Canonsburg (Pa.) Canon-McMillan gave them plenty to watch.
