WVSports.com PITTSBURGH--It seemed that Bob Huggins directed his wrath at nearly every one of his players at some point during West Virginia's 55-54 loss at Pittsburgh on Thursday night. In fact, it appeared the only two Mountaineers who didn't receiving verbal lashings were point guards Darris Nichols and Joe Mazzulla, who combined for 31 points. While the rest of their teammates shot a combined 7-for-31 at the Petersen Events Center, the Mountaineers' precocious pair of floor generals kept their squad in the game from the opening tip. Nichols converted two huge shots down the stretch, a 3-pointer off the glass that gave WVU a 51-50 lead with 2:12 to play and a jump shot with 1:24 left to extend the lead to 53-50, in leading WVU with 16 points. Meanwhile, Mazzulla nailed 6 of his 7 field goal attempts, including three of four from behind the 3-point line, to finish with a season-high 15 points.
