Injuries continue to take toll
It may not be safe to take the field in Pullman. That, or players are not getting enough calcium. The rash of broken bones and various bangs and bruises continues, the latest victim being Jed Collins. Slotted as the backup tight end to starter Cody Boyd, Collins sustained a fractured left finger on Saturday that has him out indefinitely.
Another significant injury came to starting right tackle Charles Harris. Harris, a returning starter and a key player on the O-line, sprained his right elbow - also on Saturday and is being held out of practice.
The receiver corps has also taken a recent beating. Michael Bumpus has already been limited with a right knee sprain, but now it has been confirmed that Chris Jordan went down with a severely bruised right shoulder. Both Jordan and Bumpus are able to practice, but are being limited by the coaches in hopes that they will heal up quick.
