Top QB target blown away by Auburn visit
Looking to add an impact quarterback to its 2007 class, Auburn hosted one of the South's best signal callers Saturday in Fort Smith, Ark., Northside's Kodi Burns.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Burns unofficially visited Auburn during the Tigers' senior mini-camp.
"It was great. It was incredible. Auburn made a huge impression on me," said Burns. "There wasn't anything I didn't like. The coaches were straight forward. They take pride in their academics. The coaches, players, the campus, everybody and everything were just really nice."
Burns did not participate in the camp, instead spending the day meeting with the coaching staff, including offensive coordinator Al Borges, and touring the campus and athletic facilities.
"We went to the stadium and that was real impressive," said Burns. "We took a tour of the campus. I talked to all of the coaches. I sat down with coach Tuberville and coach Borges. Coach Tubs said that they really want me."
