Bucks still looking good to Goodman

It is no secret that offensive tackle is a major need for Ohio State in the 2012 class. Early on, the Buckeyes' coaching staff is setting the bar high and going after some of the premier tackles in the nation. Lakeland (Fla.) product Evan Goodman certainly belongs in that group and the big, athletic tackle from one of Florida's top programs is being heavily courted by the Buckeyes.
"I talk to coach (Jim Bollman)," he explained. "He just tells me what's going on over there and tells me to make sure I call him sometimes. (The Ohio State coaches) say that they really want me and that I am the type of offensive lineman that they want right now. I'm a more athletic offensive lineman and that is what they are recruiting now."
While Goodman doesn't have any type of working list right now, he does hold more than 20 scholarship offers from most of the top programs in the nation.
"I don't really have a favorite," he explained. "I like all of the teams. I just love college football."
With so much attention from so many outstanding programs, Goodman is just gathering as much information as possible right now and is hoping to start narrowing things down before his senior season.
"I'm going to narrow it down by the end of the summer," Goodman said. "I'll get it down to the five schools that I want to take my official visits to and then I'll choose. I want to graduate early so I want to get it out of the way."
So does Ohio State have a chance to be one of Goodman's five official visits?
"Of course, I love Ohio State," he said. "I like their facilities and it's just a huge place. Everyone is really nice and the coaches and the players and everyone around them is just real cool and easy to get along with."
Goodman got his first glimpse of Columbus last June as he came up on an unofficial visit. He's hoping to make it back to Columbus again this summer as well as a few other national level programs.
"I'm supposed to be going to Ohio State's camp and I'm supposed to be going to Notre Dame's camp and I'm supposed to be going to Auburn," he said. "I'll probably try to get to a bunch of other schools too."
